Can dogs eat peanut butter?
Caution
Usually fine in small amounts, but only if the label shows no xylitol. Unsalted is the healthiest choice.
Also searched as: peanut spread, nut butter
When it is a problem
Most peanut butter is safe for dogs in moderation. The danger is xylitol, a sweetener that is toxic to dogs and is added to some peanut and nut butters, so read the ingredients every time. AKC says unsalted peanut butter is the healthiest option.
