About SnoopyDogs

Clear answers about what dogs can eat, taken only from veterinary sources and checked by a person.

Questions answered on this page

Is this veterinary advice?

No. It is general information, and it does not replace your vet.

SnoopyDogs is not a veterinary practice, and nobody involved is presented as a veterinarian. Every dog is different: size, age, health and the amount eaten all matter.

Where do the answers come from?

Seven veterinary organisations, quoted word for word.

  • American Kennel Club (AKC)
  • ASPCA
  • Pet Poison Helpline
  • Merck Veterinary Manual
  • Royal Kennel Club
  • PDSA
  • VCA Animal Hospitals

Each food page shows its sources, the date we checked them and the passage we relied on, so you can check it yourself. If the sources do not cover a detail, such as a safe amount, we leave it out rather than guess. How we check foods and approve entries
